Natrilix SR

Natrilix SR is used for treating high blood pressure, swelling, or congestive heart failure due to excess fluid in the body. Natrilix SR is a diuretic. It works by causing the kidneys to eliminate large amounts of water and salts.

Use Natrilix SR as directed by your doctor.

Take Natrilix SR by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation. Natrilix SR may increase the amount of urine or cause you to urinate more often when you first start taking it. To keep this from disturbing your sleep, try to take your dose before 6 pm.

If you miss a dose of Natrilix SR and you are taking 1 dose daily, take the missed dose if you remember the same day. Skip the missed dose if you do not remember until the next day. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Do not use Natrilix SR if: you are allergic to any ingredient in Natrilix SR; you are unable to urinate or have problems urinating; you are taking ketanserin. Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Some medical conditions may interact with Natrilix SR. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding; if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement; if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances; if you have heart, liver or kidney disease, or have low levels of sodium or potassium in your body; if you have gout or lupus.
