Soranib 200 mg
Soranib, is a cancer medication. This drug interferes with the growth and prevents the spreading of cancer cells in the body. This medicine is only effective in cancer caused by liver cancer, thyroid cancer, or a type of kidney cancer called advanced renal cell carcinoma. Soranib is specifically used in cancers that cannot be treated with surgery.
Soranib works as an inhibitor of many enzymes required for the growth and development of tumor cell. It works by blocking the activity of a certain naturally occurring chemicals that may be required to help cancer cells multiply.
Do not use this drug if: You are allergic to any of the ingredient of the drug including the active ingredient Sorafenib; You are pregnant or breastfeeding because the efficacy of the drug on the new born baby is yet to be determined; Have heart disease; High blood pressure; Have haemophilia; Have any kind of allergies; Have breathing or any lung problems; If you are on prescribed blood thinners etc.
Soranib should be taken on empty stomach, one or two hours before any meal. Do not break the tablet, crush or chew it. Swallow the tablet as whole. Keep checking your blood pressure at regular intervals while on the drug dose.
Soranib is usually taken two times a day. Take the exact dose, do not increase or decrease the dose without any recommendation from the doctor. Take the tablet at the same time each day, doing this will help you avoid any misdose. Taking the tablet each day should become your habit until the time prescribed by your doctor.
Take Soranib for the time duration prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing Soranib before the complete dose may decrease the benefits of the drug. Only those patients who have experienced the benefits of other drugs of lung cancer treatment to live longer are advised Sorafenib by a professionally experienced doctor. You may require urgent medical help in case you take an overdose of the Soranib. In such a case visit the nearest healthcare center or call your doctor immediately. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but if its already the time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and take the next dose on the correct time.
There are some side-effects of Soranib, if you feel too much uncomfortable then see your doctor immediately: sore in mouth; blood in urine, stools or in vomits and coughs; chest pain, dizziness, dry skin; weakness; sudden loss of weight; extremely high blood pressure; various skin reactions; tiredness; change in eye vision; muscle pain; loss of appetite; irritation; diarrhoea; hives; vomiting; nausea etc.
