Trofame XR is used for the treatment of overactive bladder symptoms. It is an anti-muscarinic and anti-spasmodic agent. It works by reducing muscle tone of the bladder.

You should avoid using Trofame XR if you are allergic to any ingredient in it or you have slow digestion, uncontrolled glaucoma or urination problems. Consult your doctor before taking Trofame XR if you have liver or kidney problems, increased pressure in the eye, stomach or bowel problems, myasthenia gravis or bladder blockage.

Trofame XR has a few sides effects that may include blurred vision, drowsiness, constipation, dizziness, headache, dry mouth or eyes and upset stomach.

Trofame XR comes with serious risks if the dosage is not taken as per the doctor’s advice. Taking less than or more than the recommended dose can increase the risk of serious side effects. The amount and frequency of the dose depends on your age, the condition being treated, severity of your condition and how you react to the first dose.

Trofame XR antagonizes effects of the chemical acetylcholine on the muscarinic receptor within cholinergically organs that are innervated. The parasympatholytic behaviour lowers tonus of smooth muscle within the bladder.
